Michelle Wie
So what happened to Michelle Wie? I haven't heard much of her for a while. Apparently Michelle has been working with David Ledbetter
to refine her swing. Here's some of what what Ledbetter has to say"
"Michelle is a joy to work with for many reasons -- her great natural talent, her work ethic, her desire to be the best. But most exciting
is that we don't know what she's capable of; she might change the game as we know it."
I see also that Michelle is still interested in playing
tournaments in both the LPGA and the PGA. Well with a talent like that and a little maturity she may do well in both arenas.
Women's Golf
Along with the steady resurgence of the game of golf, more and more women are
now playing the game.
Of course, super stars like: Annika Sorenstam, Christie Kerr, now pro, Michelle Wie, and newcomer Lorena
Ochoa of the LPGA scene
certainly help women's golf.
Most, if not all of the Cincinnati area public courses have women's
leagues, so
find the course nearest you in our listings and give them a call if you're interested in playing in
a women's golfing league.
The Cincinnati area also has two women's golf associations. The Greater Cincinnati
Women's Golf Association and the
Executive Women's Golf Association.
The Women's Senior Golf Tour doesn't get a lot of
press, but there you'll find some of the greatest women golfers of all time, including 9 LPGA Hall
of Fame members.
Don't forget to register for the Aprilt drawing for a free foursome at Taylor Glen Golf Course.
